Insert picture hereOn July 3 and 4, the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition (DMMC) presents 80/35, Des Moines’ multi-day music festival. Last year, the festival drew 30,000+ people from across the mid-west, many under the age of 40. This year, attendance is expected to break that mark. Please visit 80/35's website, www.80-35.com, to stay up on the various acts that will be performing.

If you wish to purchase tickets to the festivals, you can do so at www.iowatix.com.

About the Do More Village

YPC joined the DMMC in promoting Greater Des Moines at the music festival via the Do More Village. YPC's Do More Village serves as the hub for showcasing all things Des Moines. This area pulls in event attendees through its interactive exhibits and unique demonstrations, all provided by local groups and supported by local talent.

The YPC Do More Village at 80-35 is now ready to start scheduling volunteer shifts.  Those who volunteer for a shift will gain exclusive benefits including access to the festival for the same day and will also receive a custom T-shirt.  This provides a great way to work with other YPC members and contribute to what is quickly becoming a nationally recognized event for Des Moines!  Please contact Shawn Harrington (sharrington@ypcdsm.com) with any questions.

Big thanks to our sponsor and friends at The Downtown Community Alliance (http://www.downtowndesmoines.com/) for donating $500 in downtown gift cards that YPC will be giving away through a special enter-to-win drawing at the YPC booth. Four prizes will be awarded:

Grand prize: $250 gift card
1st prize: $125 gift card
2nd prize: $75 gift card
3rd prize: $50 gift card

Festival attendees can get more details on how to enter the contest by visiting the YPC booth in the Do More Village on July 3rd and 4th.
