Activities / Involvement in the Community: In addition to being a new member of the YPC, I am involved in the Des Moines Noon Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, BNI Iowa, the Iowa Chiropractic Society, the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association, the Des Moines West Side Chamber, Roosevelt Cultural District, Waveland Park Neighborhood Association, the Praise Choir at Lutheran Church of Hope, and I'm also proud to be a volunteer for the Beacon of Life.
 
Favorite Things to Do in Des Moines

Being new to the city (and state), I am still finding my favorite things to do around town.
The quiz bowls for the Beacon of Life are always a great way to get a group together, as well as meet new people(www.beaconquizbowl.com).

My favorite things are (including some local businesses I enjoy):
*Dog parks/trails
*Neighborhood favorite eating and drinking establishments (LeJardin and LaMie, Star Bar, Royal Mile)
*ICubs games (I'm a Cardinals fan, but they'll do)
*Live music
*the Farmer's Market
*Local shops (Eden, Elements, Pink, etc.)
I love to try new restaurants and other local establishments, so please feel free to give suggestions--I'm new here!
Something People Don't Know About Me: I work with people of all ages and am certified in Webster Technique (see our website to find out more). We have a multi-generational patient base, and this month we are excited to be welcoming another new "Chiropractic baby" to the practice! My passion is to work with parents throughout pregnancy and childbirth, and then with the entire family providing support, education, and chiropractic care in order to ensure optimal health for the family as a whole.
 
Anything Else You Want People to Know

I am really enjoying living and working in Des Moines mostly because of the large population of young professionals here that are involved in the community and passionate about making this a great city!
