WILL FEATURE LAS VEGAS THEME
GREATER DES MOINES – The 2010 Golden Circle Games will be cruising down the Strip of Las Vegas this year.
Hosted by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Young Professionals Connection, the Games feature representative teams from area businesses in friendly competition.
“Besides being an annual tradition here in Des Moines, these games are a great opportunity for people to dress-up, have fun, and participate in some non-conventional networking. We are expecting a big turnout this year with representation by all industries,” said Ashley Okland, the Golden Circle Games Subcommittee Chair.
Over the past 25 years, the Golden Circle Games have brought people together for a high-energy, multi-event competition. The Games originally took place between four local businesses, but competition has grown substantially over the years. At least 2000 competitors from 300 local businesses are expected to turn out for the event this year.
The event will take place Wednesday, June 16 at 4:30 p.m. on the Midway at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Gates will open at 3:30 p.m.
Teams must consist of at least eight members and have at least four women. Registration for an eight-member team is $150. Additional team members cost $20. Teams can register online at www.ypcdsm.com/en/gcg. Spectator tickets will be available at the gate for $20.
